Good, restful sleep is by far the most important thing you can do for yourself on a daily basis. You can skip a day at the gym or treat yourself to dessert, but miss a night of sleep and whoa, the impact is immediate. The next day you can’t focus, have low energy, are less likely to stick to your routine, have a grouchy attitude, eat or drink “fake energy” to try to keep you going, and may even have a hard time falling asleep the next night because you’re so thrown off. If you’re reading this and live in Michigan, you’ve noticed that Fall has officially arrived! It took awhile for the weather to figure out what it wanted to do, but I think the blustery, damp, and chilly days are here to stay. I’m pretty sure I have a jacket, sweatshirt, rain coat, winter coat, and fleece all in the backseat of my car right now! Yes, those are all different things and totally necessary during this time of year :)  If there’s anything I’ve had to come to terms with living in a State with 4 moody seasons, it’s that you can’t fight it. A few months ago I posted this TED Talk  and people loved it. I can understand why. We can all agree that we give too many f*cks and it leaves us stressed out and exhausted at the end of the day! Well, I picked up the book, The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck by Sarah Knight and couldn’t put it down! Honestly. I read the whole thing in the time it took my husband to watch the first two Matrix movies on Sunday (Don’t ask.
